Committed to supporting the designers of the future, in 2019 Liberty collaborated with year one Tailoring and Milliner students from Tillskärarakademin in Gothenburg: School of Fashion and Stage Costume, who created experimental dresses and avant-garde hats using Liberty Fabrics. The resulting pieces were showcased in an exhibition – Scales, Volumes and Parallel Motions – held at Tjolöholm Castle. The students manipulated their textiles with pleating, kilting, creasing, corset braces, wire and fusings, to create avant-garde looks that showcase Liberty’s world-famous prints.
