Meticulously hand-painted in the Liberty design studio, in the heart of London, and expertly crafted using both traditional and cutting-edge techniques in Italy and England. The wallpapers include scenic murals, opulent wide-width bases, and lustrous grass-cloths, full of luxurious textures and depth of colour.
Originally created in 1933 by the artist ‘D.S.’, who designed many of Liberty’s beloved classics, Betsy is a nostalgic, stylised pattern that epitomises the quintessential 1930s Liberty floral aesthetic. Reimagined in three new colourways exclusively for Interiors, Betsy has been adapted to a larger scale and enhanced with tactile, painterly textures. Printed on a matt paper, the design retains a painterly feel through its signature, loosely sketched outlines of roses, primroses, bellflowers, and berries.
